Wildwander Wagon Four

Wagon four carries Veloptima and Crampernap Wildwander. The Alchemy Wagon, as it is sometimes called, is pulled by the gnomedog Loper.   Veloptima Wildwander was the best student in the Alchemy department of the Gnomish University. At first it seemed as though she lived in the laboratory, but her studies were often interrupted by students entering for class, frustrating her. So it was that when offered a chance to study at the student hermitage, she jumped at the chance. The University provided all the books and equipment she needed in her own out of the way cavern. Veloptima began to believe that everything that happens is part of some great cosmic plan. And her part in the plan was to share her gifts with everyone, not just to use them to benefit only herself. Thus, after a time, Veloptima rejoined the larger populace of University Park. In her search for ingredients for her concoctions, she sometimes takes great risks, endangering herself, or more likely others. Veloptima can spend days lost in her thoughts and contemplations, seemingly oblivious to her surroundings. However, nothing is more important to Veloptima than the folk of the caravan. When the caravan is encamped, Veloptima is seen brewing potions in a cauldron over a large fire with the help of Wand, her homunculus.     Crampernap Wildwander is a kind-hearted fellow who was sent by his parents to the Gnomish University in the hopes that the professors could find out what was wrong with him. You see, the young man would sometime find himself with objects floating in the air around him. When Crampernap became angry, knick-knacks would fly off shelves, plates off the kitchen table, or books off of shelves, and fly towards the source of his angst. At the School, Crampernap learned to control his telekinetic abilities. He has proven himself to be a natural teacher, eager to share his knowledge and patient with his students and peers. His good judgement is respected throughout the camp and his love of beauty shows in his work. Crampernap (and Sapply) collected all the University books he could find and is now teasingly called the librarian, building and maintaining the Wildwander library. Crampernap is easily distracted by the promise of a new book for the library and will take off with his Almiraj (unicorn bunny) familiar, Nerp in search of said book at a moments notice.   When Veloptima had returned to the University after her hermitage, Crampernap became smitten with her. Though familiar with alchemy, he was not engaging enough to pull her out of her almost constant reverie. So Crampernap hatched a plan. He took classes in glassblowing and quickly became quite an artist. He would create bottles that looked like dragons, elm tree shaped vials, and tornado goblets. Crampernap spent hours in the laboratory with Veloptima, seeming always to hand her the exact piece of glassware she needed. Then, on day, Crampernap was not there. Veloptima held out her hand and there was no beautiful vial pushed into it. Startled, she went to find out what had happened to the devoted artist. Veloptima found Crampernap in the infirmary, a victim of a failed magical recipe of his own concoction. Upon seeing his face, Veloptima realized that she loved Crampernap and they have traveled together ever since.
