United American States

The United American States was the government of the Ancients that controlled all of Canada, Mexico, and the former United States of America.   The UAS came about during the Resource Wars, as natural resources in the contiguous USA and throughout most of the industrialized world began to run out and borderline on non-existence.   The USA put pressure on Canada to allow it to station troops along the Alaskan Pipeline for security against terrorists and foreign aggression from China.   Once troops were stationed along the Pipeline a few incidents with Canadian nationals were blown out of proportion and gave the USA a reason to invade and annex Canada.   A series of incidents with heavily armed drug smugglers along the USA border with Mexico provided a similar excuse to invade and annex Mexico.   The government of the United American States consisted of three branches: the Executive Branch, the Judicial Branch, and the Legislative Branch.
