Yid-Zafar

The seat of power and jewel of the desert. Yid-Zafar has a far reaching reputation of splendor. It houses within its sand-worn walls the grand Library of Ki-Yen Zell which is said to have the greatest collection of written knowledge in all of Novaura.
In Yid-Zafar higher education is compulsory and one must attend the University, a college, or a trade school. This policy makes Yid-Zafar the most educated populace throughout the entire world. With this comes a reputation of being haughty... a stigma that was well earned. The beautiful architecture of Yid-Zafar is meticulously cleaned by University students as punishment for misbehaving - and even sometimes poor marks on exams.
But what most people associate with the capital is none of these. Yid-Zafar merchants import Willowbottom Leaf and Dragonweed from Bymoor and infuse it with incense. The resulting product is known as Massel.  This incense flavors the pipe-weed and is used with waterpipes to enjoy as a community. It is a popular social activity and one visitors take to quickly.
