So the Kindred spread out in search of the Pillars of Heaven, by family, clan and tribe.
Here is the reckoning of those kindred families who fled the
Mist-Cloaked Vale at the time of the Sundering. Thirteen tribes escaped the Archenlord's wrath. After the Sundering the remnant of the kindred races obeyed the word of the Archenlord and set out to find the Eight Pillars.
As for the sons of
Rigus:
Guldan's descendants, proudest of all, traveled eastward, into the rising sun. They founded small nations on their way until, at last, finding the Pillar of the East. Together with the Dorinites they founded the Temple of the East Wind.
Guldan's sons were Danlau, Gandai, Lingdo, and Singlau.
Freya's children, succored by the beasts of the earth, sojourned north. They did not tire of seeking until they reached the cold reaches, wherein many tribes settled, until at last coming to the Pillar of the North. There they founded the Temple of the North Wind.
Freya's sons were Frellon, Forlo, Reyal and Oltho.
The sons of Solun wandered into many different directions. Some of these discovered the Pillar of the Sun and aided the Jaroni in building the Tower of the Sun. Others aided in building the Temple of the West Wind. Still others moved north to assist with the Temple of the North Wind.
Solun's sons were Sordis, Lundin, Irsalon and Arron.
As for the sons of
Manus:
Dorin's kin, givers of law, roamed eastward. They establishing many states along the way and at last came to the Pillar of the East. Together with the Guldanese they founded the Temple of the East Wind.
Dorin's sons were Rindol, Dolwin, Endel, Eillor and Alrin.
Vancus' sons, makers of war, campaigned north and westward. These set down several powerful domains along the way and came to the Pillar of the Moons. There, with the help of the Parlini they built the Tower of the Moons.
Vancus' sons were Valcar, Relcor, Vernus, Otar, and Alunar.
Belcan's scions, most devoted of the kindred, pilgrimaged south and westward. These did not stop to establish even a way station, but continued until they reached their goal: the Pillar of the South Wind. These, almost single-handedly, founded the Temple of the South Wind, and then proceeded westward to found, with the help of the Jaronites, the Tower of the Stars.
Belcan's sons were Calabel, Belnasser, Berron, Barcalanon and Belcoronim.
Harkin's progeny, lords of the sea, sailed south and west and east. These founded many colonies along the shores of distant lands and, in several clans, came to the Pillars of the Sun and Stars, and the South and East Wind and played varying roles in the founding of those Temples and Towers.
Harkin's sons were Harkos, Kasoi, Kinto, Nirkon, Hallon, Neklos and Ailloi.
Loric's successors, harvesters of grain, traveled westward. Along the way they set up many small kingdoms and eventually came to the Pillar of the West and there, with the help of the Solunites, founded the Temple of the West Wind.
Loric's sons were Londel, Riccard, Callo, Omric, and Leinsel.
As for the sons of Kolbin:
Nandin's seed, lovers of all that is green, bloomed westward. These settled many glades and valleys along the way and eventually came to the Pillar of the West. They helped to ensure the Temple of the West Wind was full of beautiful flowers and verdant greenery.
Nandin's sons were Nandol, Dolwin, Dorinin and Rodonim
Pretora's heirs, delighted by all that shimmers, sought their treasure north and westward. These founded many mining towns in the gem-crusted mountains and eventually came to the Pillar of the Moons. They, with the help of the Vancusites, built the Tower of the Moons.
Pretora's sons were Preton, Parlo, Toranos, and Dolinon.
Teritan's brood, lovers of rest, trailed their Nandese cousins for a while, moving slowly westward. These, however, found many fair places to settle, and none more than a handful made it to the Pillar of the West.
Teritan's sons were Teran, Tandil, Alin, and Lathuin
Jaron's scions, proud and free, roamed southward along the mountains and then westward across the deserts. These settled many lands and
found the Pillars of Sun and Stars, and helped to found and guard towers at both locations.
Jaron's sons were Anjes, Jonath, Jarosh, Jason and Eshlan
Golan's progeny, tinkerers and craftsmen, traveled east and northward. These founded many congregations and finally found the Pillar of the Void. There they built the Tower of the Aurora.
Golan's sons were Golwing, Grenlin and Landor
