Crosslinks in Battle

The grand statue that depicts the final moments of Jyana Crosslinks

The statue to Jyana Crosslinks sits outside of Bushena's Rest, on the spot the Spear of Crosslinks was first found after the battle. It depicts her final moments as they were imagined by the sculptor, and shows Jyana sticking her spear into the mouth of a Balor as he fought back with flames. Jyana's face appears stubborn, but all who know the tale know of her bravery and the fact she would have known what was coming.   The statue is visited by hundreds of people every day, but is crowded around on the 14th of Vrasp every year, as this is the time when people from across the world celebrate Jyana's bravery and triumph.

Purpose / Function

The statue is in place to remind all of the bravery of one woman, and as a warning to all those who may threaten Bushena and her followers.

Alterations

No alterations have ever been made to Crosslinks in Battle, and Bushena herself has placed protective wards around it to ensure no damage may befall it.

Architecture

Created from the finest gold, Bushena informed the sculptor that he could use any material he wanted to work with, and she would pay the cost. Merben Jadon chose gold because he said it was the only thing that could possibly live up the grand sacrifice Jyana Crosslinks gave.

History

Crosslinks in Battle was commissioned by Bushena herself, and she received many offers, but the winning sculptor was a gnome man by the name of Merben Jadon, from Hilford. He was one Bushena herself had met when first arriving on Northmarsh and she informed him that he would do her a great honour by carving the statue and he would be well rewarded.   Since the statue was unveiled, Merben has since lived a life of luxury in one of the many mansions of Xarith.
