Northmarsh has a long history of death and destruction, but in the past 100 years things have slowly been improving. After the banishment of Lianeous the Goddess of Death and Disaster, Bushena the Goddess of Hope took rule and remained in her humanoid form to care for the world.   Protected by the Goldenroses who guard the countries, no country is in a better position than Xarith. Home to Bushena herself, people and vaguely humanoid type folk travel from across the lands to see Bushena in the flesh and all seems well.   However there are whispers of something more sinister behind the scenes, shadows in the crowd and murmurs of an uprising. Not everyone seems to like the way Bushena rules, and perhaps some may be wishing for the time back when Lianeous walked the planet...
