Utvetarmaa Shire
At onetime Utvetarmaa was an independent land. It covered about 2/3s of the Kauuvattian cultural area. Kourutiosa in the Atonian province of Tuvatsapa was once the capital of Utvetarmaa.
Atonia and Habuda over time carved up Utvetarmaa. The Shire is what remained to the country. The Lords of Utvetarmaa agreed to accept Habudan control in return for a lot of internal independence.

The Shire is semi-independent and has a numerous traditional rights that other provinces do not have.

Hapua is the biggest centre of Kauuvattian cultural presence in Cantumland.

Demography and Population
912,000 people live in the Shire, they are almost all Kauuvattian. The Council of Lords of the Shire does not allow people from outside of the Shire to own land or do business in there in the long term.

The area of the Shire is 131,000 sq km
It is the upper reachs of the Halun River, a river considered very culturally important for the Kauuvattian people. The Shire is covered by a beautiful range of hills and small mountains.
Military
The Council of Lords maintains their own military force.
Agriculture & Industry
The Halun River valley has intensive agriculture with a lot of rice grown. The eastern half of the Shire grows a lot of fruit.
Trade & Transport
The Shire has a good connection to Kourutiosa in Atonia via the Halun river. The Great North-South road passes through the Shire with Sokisiolaki situated on the road.
Education
Hapua is the location of the only university in Cantumland that is Kauuvattian in culture
