Layla is described as having the height of a basketball player and the muscular body of a rugby player.

Special abilities

Fighting Skills: Clarisse has been trained in hand-to-hand combat during her stays at the Shifter Settlement. Clarisse is one of Settlements best warriors.   Physically Enhanced: Layla is very strong, fast and agile due to having the physical structure, upper body strength, and muscularity of a rugby player.   Powerful Scream (limited): Layla is able to generate a powerful scream capable of causing her opponents extreme pain and discomfort.   Biokinesis (limited): Layla can cause others to become ill.   Animal Charming (limited): She has power over scorpions and snakes and is able to summon swarms of them.   Phasing: Layla can phase in and out of wolf form. With practice and skill, one can morph faster and with more efficiency. Though phasing can be controlled, anger can easily cause the individual to phase by accident.   High Body Temperature: Layla has a constant body temperature of about 110° degrees to withstand severe cold weather. This high body heat also allows her to survive in very hot weather, making it hard for her bodies to overheat. This high body temperature is very useful in combat, as it makes it extremely hard for vampires to harm her because they are extremely sensitive to heat. This temperature also prevents frequent illness, by killing any potential pathogens she comes into contact with before she can become ill.   Natural Enhancements: Layla has superhuman strength in wolf. In wolf form, she possesses supernatural speed, capable of running over 100 miles per hour. In battle, she is very capable of handling his opponents. She also has greater endurance than a human.   Regeneration: Layla has a powerful regenerative healing factor. This allows her to heal at an abnormal rate, faster than any human being can. Small cuts and minor injuries heal within seconds while larger, more damaging injuries, such as broken bones, blood loss, and vampire venom infection seem to heal within minutes.   Claws and Fangs: Layla has powerful claws and is able to cut through solid walls. Her fangs can tear human flesh and can rip out a human heart right out of their chest cavity.She is able to transform just her claws without transforming fully.   Super Senses: Layla possesses heightened, animal senses; akin to actual wolves, she is able to see with greater clarity than humans, even in darkness, and her senses of smell is also enhanced.   Invulnerability: Layla cannot be killed by most conventional means and weapons, however, certain supernatural weapons, as well as silver, can kill her. She can also be killed by methods decapitation, dismemberment, as well as certain supernatural beings.   Insect Manipulation: Layla can command insects. She can control them telepathically via their minds or simply telekinetically control their motor functions, but to a lesser degree than her mother.
