Smallfolk Languages
Spoken by kerren, dwarves and mon'taar, the smallfolk languages are among the most ancient on Noirox. Even otherwise unrelated humanic languages like Pen'jal can trace some common words back to smallfolk roots, usually technical terms.
Azi: Azi is one of the two surviving Dwarven languages by dint of sheer dwarvish mule-headedness. It is softer and better at dealing with high concepts than Iz. It is spoken by the dwarves of Savisa.
Iz: The other surviving Dwarven language is spoken by just as many dwares as Azi - in fact, most dwarves are fluent in both. It is far choppier and more suited to giving orders than Azi. Iz is the language of the dwarves of Epicentre, and Epicentran uses more Izan loan-words than any of the Savisan languages.
Qira: The ancestral language of the Kerren, Qira is sibilant and soft. It carries well without echoing, and is spoken by both kerren and halflings on both sides of the great sea.
