Beastkin Languages

Beastkin pseudo-languages are incredibly limited in the information they can convey. They are primarily focused around the beastkin races' animal forms and are used for communication while non-humanoid; most beastkin are bilingual with the dominant humanic language of their home region.   Canid: Canid has two forms, the social and the immediate. Immediate Canid is soft, typified by body language, growls, chuffs and barks, while Social Canid is overt, consisting of different pitches and durations of howls and screeches. It is spoken natively by Louparin, although Alshan have an easy time learning it.   Felid: Felid is a mostly gestural language, with vocalisations only being used among the very young and the emotionally distraught. As such, while it can be understood by anyone who cares to learn, it can only be spoken fluently by kuri lan and the occasional sibrani.   Rodian: The language of the leporida and musi is heavy on ear and nose movements, interspersed with growls and barks that most people would be surprised such small animals can produce. Musi gliders in particular employ a shockingly loud warning noise that carries for nearly a mile.   Serpentine: Serpentine is spoken with a mix of tail movements, hisses and body positions. It is well suited for displaying emotions but less adept at conveying information. It is primarily spoken by perigueni, although some dragons and naga use it as well.
