The goblin wars of Renoland

Around the year 330 of the Noctur calender the northern part of what is now called Renoland had been settled by dwarven frontier clans of Balderek. Much of the forest and other wilderness was under fey and sylvan influence and the forest gnomes in what is now called Reno forest were prominent. At that time it is said that a host of goblinoid invaded from the west and that the goblin wars of Renoland took place. Sylvan fey along with gnome and dwarf banded together to resist the marching goblin forces. Many were the dwarfs, sylvan fey and gnome who fell in the wars and the other people of Noctur came to their aid.

The area was liberated and reconqured by forces under the leadership of the human Renó of Noctur, after which the town de Renó, take it's name as well as the area in general. The dwarf dominans diminished and many people moved to the area to fortify both town and countryside. Dwarfs native to the area still live in Triburn, while others have settled to fortify the town of de Renó. The dwarf presence of the area can be found in the buildings of both Triburn and Waterfront, and in de Renó itself.
The war was fought up toward the areas of what is now the dwarven borderlands, mostly of clan Dankil, as well, but not breaching through Southpass and into Dwarfheim. Eberek hovel and Dwindle suffering similar fates as Triburn and Waterfront, but retaken and resettled mostly by dwarf forces.
The forest gnome realm of Glimmerglade was mostly lost during the conflict. Many gnomes remained, managed to stay in hiding and providing support along side of the fey and sylvans, but many also perished through conflict or capture. Much of Glimmerglade have since then been re-settled by the gnomes.
How much of the sylvan and fey presence lost is mostly unknown, though fairies, fey and druids are known to move through the forest from time to time.

The goblinoid host did not leave a lasting impression on the land. As the hobgoblins were defeated, killed or forced to leave the land bugbears and goblins dispersed. Those who were captured by the host and later liberated related that they were put back to working their lands under harsh taxation as long as they submitted to doctrins and laws of the hobgoblins.
