Anarchism

Anarchism is the oldest continuous ideology in the Federation despite brief irrelevance during the Federation's golden years. Anarchists eschew any kind of centralized authority and prefer self-determined communities, though there is a zoo-like proliferation of tendencies. It is most common among independent sorts and isolated sputterworlds. Most of them openly oppose the Federation.
