Ko'Wokazil

Overview

Ko'Wokazil (Sigtaara: "in-ignition") marks the moment when the inner Flame, once flickering and uncertain, flares into true form.
It is the third stage on the Path of Kori, where the bearer begins not only to summon their inner power, but to shape it — bending their Kori to the contours of their spirit.

Here, the Flame ceases to be a mere reaction.
It becomes an extension of will.

Nature of Ko'Wokazil

During Ko'Wokazil, the bearer attains a deeper bond with their Kori.
No longer simply calling upon raw bursts of strength or resilience, they begin to impress their identity upon the Flame — subtly altering how it manifests.

The Kori in this stage listens for the bearer’s desires, fears, instincts, and dreams, and begins to mirror them.

Each Kori becomes increasingly unique, reflecting the soul who tends it:

• The courageous may find their body hardening against wounds.
• The nimble may seem to blur at the edges of sight.
• The wrathful may exude an aura of heat or force.

The shaping has begun.

Minor Shapeshifting

As the bond deepens, minor shapeshifting becomes possible for the first time:

• Subtle alterations of form: strengthening limbs, sharpening senses, changing skin texture or color
• Temporary adaptations to environment: hardening against cold, eyes adjusting instantly to darkness
• Moments of partial transformation in states of great emotion

Those whose souls are deeply attuned to an animal spirit — often called the Teth'Ruhlai (Sigtaara: "Soul-Bound to Beasts") — may achieve full transformations during Ko'Wokazil.

Such beings (like Druids) may take the shapes of wolves, bears, falcons, or stranger forms — though these transformations are typically short-lived and exhausting at this stage.

Limitations

Even in Ko'Wokazil, the bearer’s reach exceeds their grasp:

• Shapeshifting is unstable without proper focus; uncontrolled shifts may injure or exhaust the user.
• Overuse leads to exhaustion, spiritual dissonance, and bodily collapse.
• Intent must be clear: if the heart wavers, the Flame may refuse to answer.

True mastery of shaping — where the Flame weaves effortlessly into the body — belongs only to later stages.

Here, in Ko'Wokazil, the bearer stands at the forge of themselves, hammering raw soul into nascent form.

Significance of the Stage

Ko'Wokazil is the first true crafting of the inner Flame.
It is where Kori ceases to be mere survival or raw force, and becomes art, weapon, armor, and song.

Those who linger too long at Ignition risk burning themselves hollow.
Those who move forward temper the Flame — and prepare to stoke it into something greater.
