History
The Savoiemark was originally a dependent dukedom of the Aguilan Empire until the rebellion of Orleanas. The people of the Savoiemark, a largely integrated Half-Elf/Human territory also rebelled under the leadership of their Countess, Leona Le Roche. The people agreed the le Roche family should stay as Comtes under a new constitution. Since, the Savoiemark has become a booming trade nation and a bastion of egalitarianism on the continent. It is a sometimes ally of Aguila but keeps its neighbors at arms length.
