History
West Port was founded by an imperial Prince from the far away Heavenly Empire who journeyed with many followers down the Long River until they found the falls on the far western edge. They created city-state there, reminiscent of their homeland and expanded their influence into a powerful merchant state governed by scholar elites. It imported many new technologies and goods never before see on the continent such as gunpowder. It is now a neutral state that is trade broker for most everyone and has many colonies in the Western Seas. It is also notable for the large number of warrior monastics who live within its borders as well as a large and coveted collection of priceless magical artifacts.
