Dolce Gabbana is the slightly out of touch Lord of Lailuna . He's spent a majority of his life in his castle and isn't quite familiar with the region he is in charge of. He is the adoptive father of 18 children and can be quite protective of them and other children he comes across as is his nature.

Personal history

Dolce's father, Addran totally screwed over the town of Lailuna by working to corrupt the soldiers and guards. He also stole from residents and overtaxed them, as well as threw extravagant parties at the town’s expense.
During a rebellion where the mob of townsfolk invaded the castle, both of Dolce's parents were killed. The townsfolk also attacked Dolce, where he lost his finger, his eye, and where he got his scars. However, he wasn’t killed in the end because his nursemaid, Maylin, and tutor, Pharom, convinced the townsfolk they could raise him properly and turn him into a good person. Until he was old enough to take charge, the town was ruled over by Maylin and Pharom.
However, this intensive rearing by Maylin and Pharom didn't allow him proper time to truly be a child. And with how Maylin and Pharom wanted to make sure the townsfolk gave Dolce the proper chance to be a better ruler than his father, they wouldn't let him leave the castle in order to keep him from doing something the townsfolk would consider a sign that he'd grow to be a bad ruler.
Once Dolce reached the proper age, he took his place as head of Lailuna and has been trying to undo his father’s cruelty and restore the Gabbana name. Maylin and Pharom warned him not to change much from what they did, as Lailuna had been doing well enough as it was under their guidance. They also set up a council to take care of things until he truly realized how to run Lailuna. Because of this, Dolce has not truly been able to do much aside from take in many of the town's orphans.

Dolce learns that he really loves being a dad and taking care of kids

A decade ago, another rebellion came about, but this was mostly just amongst the townsfolk. Unfortunately, the soldiers couldn't break off the rebellion quick enough, and many people were killed. This left behind a large group of orphans, all of which Dolce took into his castle until he could find proper homes for them. However, the children found they were quite content with staying with him, and he found that he enjoyed taking care of and raising these children. So instead of having them adopted by people in the town, he just took them in as his own children.
Throughout the years since, he's adopted several more children and loves them just as much. In addition, he has named his eldest adopted daughter, Countess Bucra Gabbana, as his successor.

• Dandren likes music and playing all sorts of instruments. They're also incredibly superstitious, and Dolce has done lots of strange things in order to counteract Dandren's "bad luck." This often includes breaking pocket mirrors and walking under ladders.

• Ingwulf does a lot of cooking, mostly with Pappeck. They’re the ones that gave Dolce all sorts of food and snacks before he left the castle.

• Amnestria Gabbana

• Amnestria's birth mother was a seamstress, and she was taught how to do it from her, as were Amnestria's half brothers - Frantar and Mikrion. Amnestria’s the one who embroidered Dolce’s bags (her brothers also assisted.)
