Oortzer

It gets lonely out there, in the deep void so far from Sol.

To the people of Saturnia, the nomads of the Oort Cloud are an odd bunch. The Oortzers live their whole lives on their hulking vessels deep in the outer reaches of the Sol system, only rarely coming into the densely inhabited space around the major planets. Such visits are rare, most Oortzers don't leave the Oort Cloud for decades at a time, and many vessels haven't basked in the warmth of Sol's light for centuries.
The Oortzers live in communal societies. Each hulk is home to a distinct tribe.
Such long periods of deep space isolation have left these nomads in a state that many in Saturnia would politely call... eccentric. They have accumulated several millennia worth of traditions, superstitions, and language drift, and no two Oortzer tribes have quite the same culture. Visits to the populated worlds always bring with them a severe culture shock.
