Nelaphah

Faith of the Rel'Gari people in Nika'Luvah

Long Before mankind, when the sea roared fiercer and engulfed everything but the realm known as "Ljo'Nuthimbah", only four beings roamed the earth, "Ashar, The Flying Snake", "Shamash, The Great Whale", "Cyclon, The One Eyed Giant" and "Gitary, The Ten Legged Horse" when referred to as a whole they're called the "Thylah" (Titans).

Arrival Of The Nelaphah

In a whole other world, between earth and the bright sphere of fire in the sky, lives the "Nelaphah"
(Angels) and has done so for eons. The tall and intelligent creatures home called "Neph", is said to be a paradise beyond comprehension, no wars reeking havoc, no deception and no death. Only one thing is believed to have ever threatened Neph, the hot rays of he sun, from which they can only protect themselves with gold. A Material that over time has become very scarce on the home of the Nelaphah. For what exactly they use the gold is unknown, though the more prevalent answer seems be that they feed on the bright metal, to withstand the suns harmful energy. One fateful day thousands of years ago, the advanced creatures would board their fire driven, flying, metal ships and travel across the vast, endless, emptiness filling the void between our worlds, to search for gold elsewhere. Eventually they would land on "Vanihr" (Earth), here they met the Thylah who had no intentions of sharing their rare metals
with anyone. Despite threats of destruction, the Nelaphah settled on the newfound land to dig for the much needed
treasure. To punish the disobedience of the immigrants, the Thylah "Shamash" let a great surge of water sweep over Ljo'Nuthimbah which led to an exodus of the settlers who fled back to their own world, though only to return another two thousand years later with a new tool they created, the Humans. When they came back the second time, the first thing they did was kill the "Great Whale" who had caused them to flee the last time around, then used her corpse to create the main continent of "Nilaris" to have even greater spans to harvest their gold. Next they killed and buried the "Ten Legged Horse" and the "One Eyed Giant". "Ashar The Flying Snake", fearing for her life, surrendered the sky to the Nelaphah and promised to let them roam and dig as they pleased. Here the first Humans were sat on the ground, where Nika'Luvah stands today to search for the gold their masters so desperately needed. And so the Nelaphah, Unbeknownst of lies and deception, trusted Ashar and once again boarded their flying ships and returned to Neph to come back someday and claim the gold their children had harvested.

A Snake Lies

Not long after the Nelaphah's departure, the snake took her chance to dig up "Cyclon" and "Gitary", then breathed life into their corpses to create the Giants and the Hos'Mah (Horsemen). These somewhat intelligent beings were all sat on this world to rage war against the Humans, a war that has continued till today despite what Ashar had promised the masters. Humans though were far more cunning and adaptable then the snake could ever have foreseen, and quickly build walls too thick and towers too tall for neither the giants or Hos'Mah to ever stand a chance. To this day it is unknown if the Nelaphah has ever returned, but the majority of Nika'Luvah strongly believe they will and therefore still raises gigantic golden monuments for when their masters one day do return.
Ashar is said to still be out there somewhere trying to find a way to bring her fellow Thylah back to life.

Afterlife

When a person of the faith meets their demise, whether its in battle or to a disease, their body will be buried in one of the great temples called "Tomb Of Neph" wearing what ever gold they personally owned around their neck. It is believed that when the Nelaphah do someday return, all the bodies off the diseased, as well as the living, who have gold to show their service, will be taken along on the great flying ships to the paradise that is "Neph".
