Wurinzama Organization in Nilam | World Anvil

Wurinzama

A windswept and mostly flat land, Wurinzama is technically part of The Realm, brought into the fold many generations ago.   Literally translating to "Land to be," Wurinzama is home to the Zaman Oreet's, large clan-like groupings of Minotaurs and Centaurs, brought together centuries ago by an ancient treaties. The Zaman Oreet's travel the land in a nomadic fashion upon their Shagon's, massive ship-like constructions that carry the buildings and supplies that make up Oreet towns and villages. The Shagon's move in combination with massive enchanted sails that create the force necessary to move the massive ships, as well the Oreet Shaman's calling on wind and earth spirits to help move the Shagons.   While the Zaman Oreet's worship is slightly different to that of the official religion of The Realm, the differences were slight enough that the Realm has decided to allow the Zaman Oreet's to keep their ancestral religion. It also made integrating them into the Realm much easier. The Zaman Oreets are known to be mostly friendly to outsiders, but the combination of fast moving Centaurs and imposing Minotaurs make invaders and brigands think twice before challenging them.

Structure

Each Zaman Oreet is slightly different, but by and large each one is ruled by the eldest Minotaur and the Eldest centaur, with significant input by the Oreet Shaman (who can be a Cenatur or a Minotaur).   The Oreet's will occasionally send envoys to a Ganwar, a meeting of all of the Oreet's in a sacred location where important Wurinzama-wide issues will be discussed. Ganwar's occur every 10 years or if an emergency one is called.

Demography and Population

The Zaman Oreet's spread throughout Wurinzama, a massive set of open plains in Efaanu. While other races are allowed to become Girinwama, or "Honorary Member" of an Oreet, for the most part Minotaurs and Centaurs are the primary and often only members of an Oreet. When a Oreet's Shagons are halted they will also willingly trade with outsiders.

Territories

The land of Wurinzama is mostly open and vast plains with the Faeane Galarturie to its Southwest and the Dwan Mountains to its west. The vast open plains allow the Shagon's to travel easily and freely amongst the plains.

Religion

The Zaman Oreet's worship the elements, especially of the Sky and Earth. Their worship isn't as formalized as The Realm, and is focused mostly on an Oreet's Shaman (or Shamans) but it's effectively similar enough to the Realm that the two belief systems co-exist.
