Warforged

Most people know the Warforged as constructs made by the Ordicus Technomantis late in the Second Age all the way into the common era. While originally non-sentient automatons bred for war and servitude, this has changed.
In the common day Warforged are, based on general observation, sapient. They seem to feel pain, have emotions, and personalities. The Ordicus vehementally disagrees with this, saying that it is simply a simulacra of personality that is part of the creation process, but many disagree. It has become a point of extreme contention between both the continent at wide and the Ordicus, as well as the Order of Technomancy and the Ordicus (who already have shaky relations).
No matter the truth of the matter, or how they're treated, Warforged can rarely be found out on their own, either liberated by sympathetic parties or escaped on their own, though they may be chased by the Ordicus. 
Warforged are formed from a blend of organic and inorganic materials. Root-like cords infused with alchemical fluids serve as their muscles, wrapped around a framework of steel, darkwood, or stone. Armored plates form a protective outer shell and reinforce joints. Warforged often share a common facial design, with a hinged jaw and crystal eyes embedded beneath a reinforced brow ridge. Beyond these common elements of warforged design, the precise materials and build of a warforged vary based on the purpose for which it was designed.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Warforged are mostly thought of as a Kalin creation, being named and created by the Ordicus Technomantis.
Despite this, rumors tell of similar constructed humanoids from Archin especially, as well as some in Wahar. Though whether these are normal creations or one-offs is a mystery, if they exist at all.

Lifespan

The maximum warforged lifespan remains a mystery; so far, warforged have shown no signs of deterioration due to age. They are either destroyed, decommissioned, or vanish.
