Jornheriheim

"Land of the Iron Tyrants" in the native tongue, Jornheriheim is as inviting as it sounds.
The home of the Fire Giants, Jornheriheim is a land of flames and lava. A series of volcanic islands that has been in the control of the Fire Giants since time immemorial. It is known for being a harsh and absolutist realm, where all must bow before the will of the titular "Iron Tyrants" which is a ruling class of Fire Giants.
While Jornheriheim hasn't always been like this, in fact the Fire Giants were once a kind and jovial people, history has changed the course of this island nation towards one of tyranny.
Ruled over by the Iron Monger, the king of the Fire Giants, Jornheriheim is centralized around the massive volcano Reodi. Inside and around the Volcano the Iron Monger has his vast citadel city known as Stedij, a fortress of fire, death, and iron (naturally).
While the realm is ruled by, and is the origin of, the Fire Giants, Jornheriheim is home to other races. The Fire Giants will capture anyone who enters their islands and enslave them for labor. Many die in slavery to the Fire Giants, unable to survive the harsh and fiery land. Those who don't die and endure to birth two generations of a family may have their third generation become "Fireborn."
A Fireborn is an outsider who becomes an "equal" member of Iron Tyrant society. They undergo a ritual called "the rebirth" where fire and lava is infused into them. Many do not survive this process, but those who do are forever changed. Their eyes become motes of burning stone, their blood fire and lava, their skin black and rocky like volcanic stone. While they may still technically be their original race, like a Human or Elf, they have more in common as Fireborn then they do with their origin race.
For obvious reasons, outsiders are not advised to travel to or near Jornheriheim.

Structure

The Iron Monger rules everyone on the island, with more powerful and notable "Iron Tyrants" below him, and the Fireborn under them.
