Cervant

The last major city in The Principality of Al-Tiba in the East, Cervant is often one of the first or last cities of the nation that people experience when passing through.   The city mostly serves as one of the primary stops on the ground trade routes to the rest of the continent, with goods from inner Al-Tiba heading out into The Holy Mernite Sovereignty and vice versa. This is helpful for heavy or hard to move trade goods that won't handle open water.   The city became home to an abnormally high amount of ex-Mernite people after the fall of their home land to The Realm originally. This has caused some cultural tension between the local Al-Tiban's and the Mernite's descendants, two groups who had been enemies until the fall of the original Sovereignty.

Government

Cervant is ruled by the Regatra of Cervant, overseen by the Amir/Amira of the Oeste Alcanza Amitra seated in Castelo Segura.

Defences

The city is surrounded on all sides by walls, and the quality of the City Guards are known to be high due to the strategic importance of the region from land based invasion from the continent.

Industry & Trade

As an important stopping point for traders going through the Plusios Pass in either direction the city has a lot of trade supporting industry such as camel and horse merchants, inns, mercenary companies, and more.

History

Cervant was originally a garrison city that protected the Al-Tiban peninsula from attack during the days of the Atkorian Empire. Over the years it has built up as a hub of trade, even during the days of the Carlegnian Empire.

Geography

The region around Cervant is rocky and desertous for the most part due to its proximity to the Desert of Ulb. However, savannah and some plant life is much more common around the city than further into the desert, and water sources are more available.
