Improvement Points IP/Rank up
In Cyberpunk RED, player types are categorized into four main playstyles that shape how each participant experiences and interacts with the game.
Warriors are combat-focused players who thrive on engaging in battles and tests of skill against adversaries. Their main interest lies in building the most powerful fighter, acquiring the best weapons and combat abilities, and proving their prowess in direct confrontations. They often seek challenges that allow them to demonstrate strength, strategy, and dominance in combat scenarios.
Socializers prioritize the overall game experience beyond just mechanics and fights. They enjoy fostering a fun and engaging atmosphere by telling stories, sharing jokes, and supporting their group both inside and outside the game. Their contribution often revolves around helping the team succeed, building camaraderie, and enhancing the social fabric of the gameplay experience.
Explorers are driven by discovery and interaction with the world itself. They enjoy uncovering new places, forging alliances, meeting new characters, and solving mysteries that don't involve combat. Their playstyle emphasizes curiosity and the expansion of knowledge about the game world, often contributing to its lore and history through their interactions and discoveries.
Roleplayers focus deeply on embodying their characters as authentically as possible. They invest effort in crafting detailed backgrounds, personal histories, and character traits, often using props or acting techniques to bring their characters to life. Their enjoyment comes from portraying their character’s identity with accuracy and creativity, enhancing immersion by delivering elaborate speeches or vivid descriptions during key moments.
Each player typically shows a combination of these playstyles, with one being primary and another secondary, shaping how they contribute to the game and interact with its narrative and challenges.
Improvement Points (IP) in Cyberpunk RED are awarded by the GM at the end of each game session based on the players' performance in their mission. When the mission is completed, regardless of success or failure, all players receive IP according to the Group's success value. However, if an individual player does something exceptional that aligns with a different playstyle than their primary or secondary, the GM may grant them additional IP based on that standout action.
If the mission is not finished, players earn IP based on either their primary or secondary playstyle. Again, if a player excels in a way that fits another playstyle better, the GM can reward them accordingly. This system encourages players to engage with their preferred styles but also recognizes notable contributions outside those styles, rewarding meaningful participation in various aspects of the game.
For Role Ability Rank you are only allowed one lv per session so you can get used to the new Ability before ranking up again.
