Pistol Attachments

Each non-exotic weapon has 3 Attachment Slots that can be upgraded with attachments. Attaching the same equipment twice does nothing. Attachments are made for specific weapon types, and cannot be easily retrofitted for other weapon types   Exotic Weapons cannot accept attachments unless otherwise stated.

Forcing something where it's not meant to be isn't always a good idea, and hey, maybe there was a reason you weren't supposed to chamber incendiary ammo in your plastic rifle. Stopping ideas like these from blowing up in your face is what gunsmithing wisdom and experience is for. Do it right, and things might end up better than you expected.   This Attachment doesn't require an Attachment Slot to install, and can be installed in Exotic Weapons. Attaching this attachment requires a DV17 Weaponstech Skill Check. Only one Ammunition Compatibility Internals may be installed at a time. Once installed, this attachment may not be uninstalled. This weapon can now fire all Non-Basic Ammunition of any Ammunition caliber it could already fire before installation     Pistol Silencer:

Far more than just a suppressor, a silencer uses a combination of sound baffling and noise-cancellation technology to make a weapon whisper-quiet, without sacrificing power. Perfect for when you don't want your target to know they're being attacked until it's too late.   Hearing a shot from a silenced pistol requires a Perception Check against a DV determined by the GM. When determining the DV, the GM should consider the pistol's size, the distance between the listener and the shooter, and any ambient noise. Silencers do not stop anyone from noticing damage from a bullet's impact, only the shot itself.     Handgun Compatibility Rail:

Attaching an external scope rail to an unusual or unique weapon design requires certain considerations. The end result won't always look good, but with enough gunsmithing elbow grease, it'll work.   This Attachment doesn't require an Attachment Slot to install, and can be installed in Exotic Weapons. Attaching this attachment requires a DV17 Weaponstech Skill Check. Only one Compatibility Rail may be installed at a time. This weapon gains an Attachment Slot that can only be used to install Scope attachments     Handgun Infrared Nightvision Scope:

Switching to a less forgiving string allows you to put significantly more power behind each arrow. Kits can be purchased for the task.   Reduces penalties imposed on firing at a target obscured to you by darkness, smoke, fog, etc, to 0. Looking through the scope, you can distinguish hot meat from cold metal, but not more specifically than that. You can't tell the brand of their Cyberarm from a distance, or see any of its internal surprises, for example.     Handgun Long Range Scope:

Long distance scope intended to aid in more distant engagements   Looking through the scope, user can see detail up to 800m away. When attacking a target 51m or further away with either a weapon's single shot firing mode, or an Aimed Shot, you can add a +1 to your Check. Does not stack with Teleoptics.     Pistol Autosear:

A simple switch, easily installed, can make most handguns capable of automatic fire.   This attachment doesn't require an Attachment Slot to install, and can be installed in Exotic Weapons. Only one Pistol Autosear may be installed. This weapon gains the Autofire (Machine Pistol 3) and Suppressive Fire firing modes. If installed into an Excellent Quality pistol or a pistol already capable of Autofire, it grants Autofire (Machine Pistol 4) which replaces any existing Autofire it had access to.

We've got you covered!   Capacity Attachment: Upgrades the capacity of a Medium pistol to 36 rounds, or other pistols to 28 rounds. Only one Capacity attachment can be attached to a weapon at one time     Handgun Smartgun Link:

Allows you to connect your firearm to your Neural Link, through the use of Interface Plugs, or a Subdermal Grip.   Installing or uninstalling the Handgun Smartgun Link takes an hour. A weapon is a Smartgun only when it has a Smartgun Link or Smart Rebuild attached to it. Special Cyberware is required to take advantage of a Smartgun. A Smartgun Link must be connected to you with Interface Plugs or a Subdermal Grip in order to operate, both of which require you to have a Neural Link. A Subdermal Grip connects to a smartgun held in it automatically. You can plug in Interface Plugs as part of drawing a Smartgun into a free hand, as long as you have a free set of Interface Plugs. Being disarmed of your Smartgun doesn't snap your cables, it just unplugs them from the Smartgun. Plugging them back in isn't an action when you have the Smartgun in your hand, as their ports are designed for ease of use. Why go through all this trouble? Because when making Ranged Attacks with one, you add +1 to your Check. Requires 2 Attachment Slots.     Authorization Handshake Port:

As a one time investment in the security of your arsenal, the value of proper handshake ports can't be overstated, even during research and development. You don't want an unauthorized user taking your gun out for a drive.   This Attachment doesn't require an Attachment Slot to install, and can be installed in Exotic Weapons. An Authorization Handshake Port is an alternative Interface Plug access port that can be installed on a device that can be connected to with Interface Plugs. Once an Authorization Handshake Module is installed, the device may only be used by a user whose Interface Plugs are loaded with current access credentials. The port can be temporarily bypassed for 24 hours with a DV17 Electronics/Security Tech Check. Alternatively, a DV24 Electronics/Security Tech Check will permanently disable an Authorization Handshake Port     Pistol Barrel:

    Handgun Power Rebuild:

The weapon is reinforced to handle extreme strain, enabling increased precision.   Rebuild: Installing or uninstalling a Rebuild takes 1 hour. A Rebuild only takes 1 slot if installed in an Exotic Weapon, else it requires 2. Only one Rebuild can be installed in a single weapon.   Transforms the weapon into a Power Weapon. Whenever a Power Weapon causes a Critical Injury, it's Bonus Damage is increased by 5. Additionally, when firing this weapon, a user can ricochet their shots off pieces of cover to hit targets that they are aware of, but which might be beyond a normal Attack because they are behind cover or out of line of sight. When performing such a ricochet shot, the user takes a -4 penalty to their Attack Check. If making an Aimed Shot, the user ignores the -4 ricochet penalty, and instead only applies the normal Aimed Shot penalty. There must be a clear path between the ricochet point and the target for this to work.   Despite the shot's new ricochet trajectory, the range the shot is made at is still calculated based on the distance between the user and the target. To ricochet a Shotgun Shell, the user chooses a surface within 10m to become the new origin of the spread, which then attacks all targets within a 10m, 40 degree cone, as directed by the user (So long as common sense is followed, a shotgun blast can't ricochet behind a surface it is bouncing off of)     Handgun Smart Rebuild:

The weapon's internals are stripped down and rebuiult, incorporating advances in smart targeting technology needed to make use of improved gyrojet bullets.   Rebuild: Installing or uninstalling a Rebuild takes 1 hour. A Rebuild only takes 1 slot if installed in an Exotic Weapon, else it requires 2. Only one Rebuild can be installed in a single weapon.   Transforms the weapon into a Smart Weapon.   The weapon is a Smartgun and requires a user to be connected to it using an Interface Plug,or a Subdermal Grip to operate. When making a Ranged Attack with the weapon, the user adds +1 to their Check. Additionally, the weapon can be loaded with Improved Smart Ammunition of all the varieties it is capable of shooting. If loaded with any other type of ammunition, the user still recieves the +1 bonus, but not the advantages of the Improved Smart Ammunition.     Handgun Tech Rebuild:

The weapon is reworked from the ground up to be fitted with electromagnetic launch modules   Rebuild: Installing or uninstalling a Rebuild takes 1 hour. A Rebuild only takes 1 slot if installed in an Exotic Weapon, else it requires 2. Only one Rebuild can be installed in a single weapon.   Transforms the weapon into a Tech Weapon. Weapon is equipped with a scope that can see simple target outlines through Thin Cover. By sacrificing their Move Action, a user can charge the weapon. Once Charged, the weapon remains so until it is fired, or 60 seconds (20 rounds) passes.
