Sphere Farspeaker

Celurine Sphere: Tataniya Sherin

History

Farspeakers have only been in service for as long as the Savron of the Ceruline Sphere has been in office. It is only because she asked for the convenience of all the Sphere's that they agreed to have homes installed and volunteers to go to these new lands. Savron Amaya was the first of the humans to establish contact and befriend them. Many years later it was her idea that being able to use their unique abilities would help the Savrons that didn't have easier communication methods would be beneficial to all the realms. Since then it has been about thirty years.

Far-Speaking

The official title for the unique ability of the Melora is Tataniya Sherin but seeing as how most of the humans who have had the privilige of coming into contact with them (or as is most likely have heard the rumors about them) can't decide how to pronounce it properly they are simply referred to as far-speakers. This doesn't seem to bother the Melora in any way. It actually seems to amuse them.   The Melora posses the ability to use a form of species specific telepathy to anyone in their born school, as the Melora most closely resemble fish. While they can't speak in this manner to all of their species, the do possess their own language mostly made up of highly complex movements indistinguishable to most other species and as such no one has been able to learn their language. fortunately they are very intelligent and highly adaptive and learned how to speak at least some rudimentary words in the human tongues.

Disappearance

For thirty years the Melora served the Savrons and passed messages back and forth amongst the people of the Sphere, but those days are now gone. On the fateful The Night of Blood and Bone when the entirety of the world changed, the Melora simply vanished. In every Sphere, for every Savron, they were gone and it wasn't until the aftermath of the horrors of that night had passed and weeks had gone without any communication from the Ceruline Sphere that a party was sent to seek Savron Amaya. It was then that they discovered that Amaya's palace and her people had all, every single one, vanished. Completely without a trace. What happened to the people's of the Ceruline Sphere is the single biggest mystery in all the Spheres. So now the Farspeaker tanks sit empty in their grand halls and communication between the Savrons still living is relegated to slower, more mundane ways. Those that still communicate at all.

Since the Melora are not a naturally exploratory species on land, they have no real desire to leave their home waters but agreed to have special tanks installed at the homes of each of the Savrons. Special plans were drawn up and master craftsmen pulled in from the Alchemical guilds and the Witches of yegnire for their respective specialties. After a little time these tanks were finished and imbued with the exact right kind of environment, air quality and living food sources to keep the Melora satisfied. Loneliness was not a real problem since they never lost contact with their family and distance was of no issue.
