Kalynxis

This amazing species once lived in the lower Luminari Sphere in their own little world. Humans and other species came to trade or seek their knowledge and the Kalynxis welcomed them all, but preferred to live among themselves. They were an incredibly intelligent species full of ancient knowledge and were sought after by the wisest of of the wise and the great leaders of the world for their opinions on anything from growing carrot plants to heavy burdens of state. It was even said that the Luminari Savron herself had employed one of the oldest and wisest of the Kalynxis to come and live with her and be her personal advisor.

Extinction

However they lost everything on that dreadful legendary night. The Night of Blood and Stone when so many lost their lives and the world trembled in fear. When the Luminari Savron went mad and murdered the Atranameous Savron, She turned on the Emiril Savron and cast her into unyielding stone. When the Celurine Savron and her entire people just vanished into thin air and Savron Imiza was broken on the battlefield of the Shalire Plateau. That night went down in history and the world changed forever, but none more-so than the Kalynxis. For when The Luminari Savron Zariya had turned Emiril to stone she turned on her own subjects and purged her land. The Kalyxis weren't the first or the last species to cease to exist within the Luminari Sphere that night. Zariya, for whatever reason drove her, killed every species within her borders that did not serve her purpose and the who and why she chose to live and die is still unknown today. For whatever reason the Kalynxis are now extinct and the Spheres mourn the loss of one of the oldest and wisest of it's inhabitants.

The Kalynxis were a wise and cheery species, living in their forest homes. Most of them were artisans and lore keepers with vast libraries full of knowledge. Those too went up in flames when Savron Zariya purged her Sphere.

After the Fall

Travel to the Luminari Sphere almost ceased after The Night of Blood and Bone. Terror of the mad Savron and the rumors that spread like wildfire of the atrocities committed within her borders made people too afraid to attempt it. However, there were some who risked it to search for themselves the truth of the fate of the Kalynxis. What they discovered made them weep. Not just for the once vibrant forests and the wise Kalynxis which had lived there, but also for the irreplaceable knowledge that had gone up in flames with them.
