Eocra Esci
Eocra Esci is a druidic phrase and so no one truly knows what it means or those that do know speak of it not, for the druidic circle is tremendously secretive, as such all further information are rumors.
Eocra Esci is a collective of highly skilled druids, mostly elves, who dedicate themselves to the preservation and protection of the Emerald woods. These foresters work to cease any encroachment upon the Emerald forest, regardless of its source. They spend their days maintaining vigil over the wood and investigating or dealing with any interlopers. It is said that the druids are nigh-undetectable while moving through the forest. They enjoy a strong connection with the animals of the forests and are readily able to communicate with them.
They utilize a portal network that comprises numerous menhir circles located throughout the realm. With these menhir circles, they alone are able to rapidly move across great distances in order to respond to any growing threats. On most occasions, the Eocra Esci maintain a strong loyalty to the King, if that king honors his predecessors agreement with them.
Structure
A Forester is considered a learner until a council deems him or her worthy of the responsibility of protecting their own grove.
Culture
The druids are so secretive that little is truly known about their motives for doing things. Most people believe they are as fickle as the nature they protect and that if you meet a member of Eocra Esci in the wild your fate will largely depend on the druid's mood that day.
Public Agenda
It is believed the Druids protect animals and plants of the realm above all else, even above thinking creatures like humans or elves; indeed sometimes from thinking creatures like humans or elves. It is often times a mystery as to what someone did exactly that has offended a Forester, because communication is apparently not their strong suit, but it can sometimes lead to violence.
History
The Druids are most well remembered for their pivotal involvement against the Necromancer's armies. During the Great War 40 years ago, the Eocra Esci rallied every animal and every tree to the call of the king. The forests and marshes were emptied and the wild itself joined the army of the living against the Necromancer.
