Kobold Vipers

Kobold Vipers are kobolds who have forsaken their draconic heritage and instead thrown their lot in with one of the most ancient enemies of dragons, the behir. Legends say that the first kobold viper was a kobold who was betrayed by their dragon master and sought the power of a behir to extract retributive vengeance, calling itself "viper" after the snakelike shape of its new master. This story has repeated itself across countless worlds since then and small tribes can kobold vipers can be found across the Material Plane today. Kobold vipers and behirs are exceptionally more dangerous together than alone; the cleverness of kobolds combined with the power of a behir is a deadly combination to any who venture into their lair underprepared.
