Corellon Larethain is the leader of the elvish pantheon and god of magic, music, art, and culture. He is celebrated by elves and non-elves alike as a good deity who blesses those who aid others and slay undead. But despite his outward benevolence, Corellon is the personification of all elven traits, both positive and negative. His pride borders on arrogance tempered only by his desire to learn new things from fellow gods and mortals alike. In modern times, there is a growing schism between followers who do and don't believe in Corellon's creed that all orcs and drow are to be exterminated due to Corellon being an enemy of Gruumsh and his former wife Lolth. Some fear that Corellon may one day add their own races to that list and that the elves will come to their gods call for warfare. Many also question Corellon's associate with the fey of the Seelie Court, who are known to have questionable, at best, goals and morals when dealing with mortals.
Corellon rarely pays direct attention to Nexus, often leaving the affairs of that world to his friends and allies. But one person did catch his attention, a young woman named Leliana. Having been rescued from an assassin and left in the care of a church, she prayed for guidance now that her home was gone. Though Leliana was unaware of her heritage as a light elf or the innate power she possessed, her prayers made this immediately evident to Corellon. He quickly appeared before her, comforting her as a parent would a child as he guided her towards his teachings and blessed her with the power of a cleric. Leliana quickly grew to be a powerful adventurer who played a key role in saving the nation of Lothal from the Morlocks, never suspecting that her god was keeping secrets from her.
