The United States has been through the ringer. The slow inevitable collapse of the American empire turned it into the loose collection of states it is now. When Texas and Alaska went independent the U.S. lost the oil fields. With the loss of NoCal and SoCal it lost silicon valley, and the cultural empire. And when it lost Nevada and Utah it didn't lose much. The Florida coast line has significantly shrunk due to the corporate war and global warming. Only New York remains the economic stronghold. The United State's largest corporation Militech is owned by the U.S. Government and is headed by the President. During the fourth Corporate war the President Elizabeth Kress used the opportunity to abolish term limits. Thanks to the rigged election system she is now serving her seventh Term. If it wasn't for Militech the U.S. would be irrelevant.
