Japan was utterly devastated by the fourth corporate war both economically and physically. Being home of the very powerful Arasaka corporation it was bombed, attacked, and hacked constantly, tanking the economy. Though it is har times for Japan the island remains one of the powerful culture forces being the key nation for the wide spreading Asia pop fashion (but not the only nation.) But with Arasaka being limited to opperating only within Japan the global influence of the Japanese empire is beginning to reign. The Current Prime Minister Kuro Takada, and Empress Toshi have launched their own Economic recovery plan similar to that of the United Kingdom's Queen Victoria II.
