Moroii
Bearing the name of the vampiric beasts of Romanian folklore, the Moroii are a famed and lethal paramilitary organization controlled by the largest of the Eurasian Houses of Blood, House Dracul. Whether they are truly decendent of the figure who inspired the infamous count Dracula, their ruthlessness and hunger for power cannot be denied and the Moroii are their personal army to ensure their goals and that of their clients always play out as desired.
The majority of the Moroii membership consist of Mycop enslaved to House Dracul, though there are a few particularly vicious and avaracious mortals who've worked their way into the organization. The Moroii rely heavily upon the enhanced strength and durability of these hybrid beings and go to great effort to ensure they remain firmly under the domination of the house.
The company generally serves the highest bidders, be they mortal or supernatural, but they are always ultimately acting in service to the goals of House Dracul and secondarily to the larger nation of the houses of blood.
Composition
Manpower
At any given time the Moroii include a standing membership of around 25,000 soldiers with an additional 5-10,000 supporting and logistics personnel. This count does not include the leadership of the company from the house proper.
Equipment
Moroii are extremely well-equipped, owing to the wealth of their parent house. They should be expected to bring to bear the peak of military grade technology, including weapons systems, personal defensive equipment, and unmanned tech such as drones. Despite this, they are also well trained in hand-to-hand engagements and will freqently be outfitted with material-modified equipment anathema to supernatural enemies, such as silvered close-combat weapons.
Structure
The Moroii follow a somewhat streamlined variation of military rankings, with House Dracul leadership serving as the top brass. In the field, most deployments of Moroii are small units not exceeding 20 members in total, with a clear heirarchy determined within the unit prior to deployment.
Tactics
Moroii strike fast with extreme brutality. The Moroii are not called in unless the situation calls for lethality and efficiency, and their tactics reflect this. Typically a unit will be inserted quietly at a great distance which they're able to close faster and with greater stealth than mortal military units could. They then pick apart their target's defenses with swift precision, killing any which stand in their way.
History
While the origins of the Moroii go back a few centuries to mercenary companies in the service of House Dracul, the modern interpretation of the company was only formally organized in the mid 1950's. During the cold war the organization found plenty of opportunity, which their parent House was only too happy to capitalize upon. They've been responsible for countless coups, assassinations, and surgical strikes over the past several decades which has contributed to House Dracul's wealth increasing exponentially, which in turn has bolstered the Moroii's numbers and resources.
