Walter Stanton

Walter Stanton was the leader of the Merto Archeaology Dispatch up until its destruction. His family is well-known for the manufacturing of the Stanton Pencil. After the fall of the Dispatch, Stanton became the King of the Faeries.

Appearance

Walter is a Human male with white hair. His hair is disheveled and overgrown due to his time in the wild, with a bald spot on the top of his scalp. He also sports a pair of messy mutton chops. Walter is of a thicker build, and stands around average height. He wears dirty, simple clothing made of a variety of cloths, and a long cloak made of browned leaves.

Personality

Walter is a very strict individual. He prefers to keep things very methodical, and refuses to leave anything up to chance. Despite having these traits, he is able to think on his feet somewhat during stressful situations, like when the Cepharrian ruin near their campsite was activated by Hamilton Caldwell's medallion.

Walter has shown to be very insecure about his position as leader. He was threatened by Hamilton challenging his decision-making, which could possibly stem from his desire to get out from under his family's past achievements.

Based on how he's been with the Faeries, Walter's psyche is clearly fragile, as he snapped over his time surviving in Nevurdul. He seemed to enjoy a position of leadership over the Faeries, as it gave him purpose.

Background

Walter's background is unknown, but at some point he was chosen to represent the dispatch group to Nevurdul. He headed the operation for a time, and was questioned in his decisions by Hamilton. This ultimately culminated in an opportunity that Walter took when he and Hamilton ran into a bear in the wild. Walter shot Hamilton in the stomach and left him for dead, apologizing as he ran off.

After that day, Stanton wandered the island until he entered the Forest of the Faeries. He convinced the Faeries that he could be useful to them by giving them his pencils. They took him in and made him their leader, where he remained for months, slowly introducing civilization to them.

Relationships

• Hamilton Caldwell: Walter clearly despised Hamilton for his lack of respect towards him. Walter was so sick of Hamilton that he took the first opportunity to take him out of the picture without being caught. Based on recent information, it's clear Walter deeply regrets what he did.

Trivia

• Walter is the first and only person who has been able to label himself "King of the Faeries".
