Thul Kuldir Outpost (Thool Cull-dear)

Thul Kuldir is a bustling outpost at the end of the Stonepass road, dividing it between the Sterian outpost of Gy and the dwarven mountainhome of Vag Thurin. It exists solely to allow more straightforward trade between the dwarven mountainhomes and the outside world.  Despite its relative isolation, Thul Kuldir has a sizable population of dwarves, numbering in the thousands. The outpost is a melting pot of different dwarven clans and subcultures, with each bringing its own unique customs and traditions to the settlement. A small number of Nordheim Dwarves who have made their way south to trade and seek adventure also call this outpost home.

Industry & Trade

Thul Kuldir's primary exports include precious metals, gemstones, and high-quality weapons and armor. In exchange, the outpost imports food, textiles, and other necessary goods from the outside world. The outpost is also home to several inns and taverns, which cater to adventurers passing through on their way to and from the dangerous lands beyond.

Architecture

The architecture of Thul Kuldir is distinctly dwarven, with sturdy stone buildings and intricate metalwork decorating the streets. The outpost is known for its skilled craftsmen, who produce high-quality goods that are highly sought after by adventurers and merchants alike. The dwarves of Thul Kuldir are a proud and independent people, fiercely protective of their territory and their way of life. Thul Kuldir is a small but fortified outpost, built with sturdy stone walls and watchtowers to defend against potential attacks from the Cryptwood. The buildings themselves are mostly made of stone as well, with sloping roofs that allow snow to slide off easily during the colder months.
