The Stars Above

For those who seek answers in the stars above, planetouched oracles, and the mysteries of the sciences, Kosmitus is their chosen divine. Kosmitus, the God of the Stars, Science, Messages, and Signs, is also known as the Saint of the Stars and the Constellation King. A morally passive god, he is neutral by alignment and seems to get along quite well with celestials and infernals alike. He has dominion over space, occupying the realms between the mortal and divine planes. He is mysterious in his disposition towards mortals, preferring to communicate through his chosen oracles, byzantine signs, and constellations. He differs from Elasarius in the sense that he believes knowledge is best kept in the hands of the capable, those wise enough to discern the true meaning of his signs, while Elasarius believes knowledge belongs to all equally. Perhaps as expected, Kosmitus enjoys very little worship compared to other celestials.

Patron of the Sciences

While Elasarius, the God of Magic, is seen as the patron of many sciences, there is significant overlap with Kosmitus in this respect. Kosmitus is seen as having more sway over fields of inquiry such as philosophy, archetypes, phenomenology, typology, astrology, astronomy, and divination. Navigation by the stars is considered a boon by Kosmitus; as such, he is the patron of many lighthouses and observatories that benefit from the night sky over which he presides.
