Human

Basic Information

Anatomy

Humans are a biped species, two arms, two legs and a rather standard design. In relation to most other species, they are considered to be a foundation in terms of physiological studies. Most other species can be consider similar to humans. Humans, however can bulk up their bodies in terms of muscular definition to proper exercise.

Genetics and Reproduction

Reproduction of humans is done the same as many of the typical sentient species of Nermoni; sexual reproduction. However, much as the other species, this is often used for purposes than simply producing offspring.

Growth Rate & Stages

The maturity of humans is considered standard. Typically a human child will develop the ability to walk by age 1. By age 5, they will produce more cognitive abilities through learnt behavior. They are considers capable of reproduction at around the age of 12 for males, 14 for females. However, as stated by The World Government, the legal adult age for each continent is 18 (with the exception of Viktor-Rot being 16 due to their survival instincts).

Ecology and Habitats

Human preferences for temperature and climate vary from human to human. Many prefer to be in a hotter environment, while many would consider colder temperature to be more optimal. However, humans are easily susceptible to harsh heat and harsh cold weathers.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Humans are omnivores, so they are capable of eating meat and vegetation. However, the diet of each human varies from each one. Some prefer to eat more meat, while others prefer exclusively vegetables. These overall choices may effect their overall lifestyles. Their demand for water is much higher than for food, however, often only being able to survive a soft maximum of 3 days.

Biological Cycle

Depending on the climate they reside in, humans will naturally adapt over the years. Some will appear to have much darker skin if they have lived in Calidara for an extended period of generations, while ones within more humid environments of Feroxia will find themselves being much paler in comparison.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Humans often place specific ideals as a means to constitute their social status. This can vary from which human is the most beautiful, which is the most wealthy, which is the most sociable, ect. The ultimate goal for most humans is to fit in a specific social structure as to appeal to other humans and other sentient species.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

As innovative as humans are, they can be the most gullible, right behind Elfmon. They are hard workers as they are rather easy to manipulate depending on what is dangled in front of them. However, in terms of produce and other uses for their body parts, they seem to produce effective results in alchemy and other occult antics.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Humans stretch all across Nermoni with now true rhyme or reason. Their population densities are more so focused upon Hetona as well as the inner regions of Viktor-Rot. They are rather prominent in the capital of Feroxia; Madlock.

Average Intelligence

The range of intelligence is typically dependent on the situation. Some will use their wit to focus on how to survive, while others will use their intelligence to pursue more knowledgeable pursuits. However, the average will find themselves being capable of performing simple tasks and basic laboring situations.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

While most appear to have normal hearing and sight, most can be considered to have below average sight due to mutations and genetics. They are quite capable to possessing magical energy as much as any other species in Nermoni. But their biggest feat is adaptation to the environment they are around.

Civilization and Culture

Naming Traditions

For the males, their names are often given a masculine, such as Henry, Christopher, Adam, and so on. As for the females, they prefer the names to have more of a feminine tone, such as Jamie, Emily, Tina, and so forth. However, depending on the continent or region they are a part of, this is subjective to their cultures.

Major Language Groups and Dialects

Humans have taken on the language known as Common. The World Government and its allies have considered Common to a rather... common way of communication. The dialect can easily be intergraded on the invasive sentient species, such as the Elfmon's harmonic tones in Hetona, so the humans adaptively acquired their dialect when speaking in Common.

History

Humans began their venture into the known world on the continent of Edelkind (which is now today's Hetona after the World Flood). Despite the vast amounts of land, humans desired to discover more of the world, so once the introduction of sailing came to be, they set off across the world of Nermoni. They are a rather bland species in terms of exploits as well as their overall history. However, they are credited by The World Government to have properly discovered Viktor-Rot after the World Flood, as it was believed to have been completely submerged. This discovery was under the human captain, Manfred Viktor, which he promptly renamed after himself and the overall stench that was overwhelming when he and his adventuring party sought out the land.
Humans during the After Flood period flaunt their diversity across the rest of the continents. They make up 70% of Hetona's population, however, are not the monarchy that controls over the continent, ironically. They continue to show a high prowess in learning and exploration.
