New Features

  • WorldAnvil Integration:

    It's finally here! WorldAnvil guild members can now link their WA account to their Nerdbuilding account by generating an API Key. This will allow you to export settlements generated on Nerdbuilding to a new article on WorldAnvil, making it much easier to transfer information.
  • Export as BBCode:

    To support easier information transfer for non-paid WorldAnvil users, we've added a new download/copy format for settlement information. You can now choose to save or copy the settlement in BBCode format from the Export panel.
  • WorldAnvil Link:

    There is now a link to our WorldAnvil page in the site footer.

Tweaks and Improvements

  • New Icon Sizes/Formats:

    In a continued effort to better support mobile users, we've added new sizes and formats for icons and a manifest file which should improve your ability to shortcut our app on your phone.
  • Performance Improvements:

    Some code changes should hopefully improve initial load times for the site.
  • Code Cleanup:

    Just a whole bunch of changes/cleanup under the hood to facilitate easier development in future.

UI Changes

  • Dropdown Sorting:

    Various dropdown menus for choosing settings before generation have been sorted in a more logical way.
  • Population Ranges for Settlement Type:

    It was brought to our attention that - when translating the site from English to other languages - several options in the "Type" dropdown become the same word, creating some confusion. To improve clarity, we've added the possible population range of each settlement size to the dropdown.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed the feedback form not submitting. We were wondering how we went months without any bug reports. Turns out the bug reporting feature was broken.
  • Fixed the water feature information on the Geography panel still saying "Fish" instead of "Aquatic Animals."
