Lanikai - originally a sizable town installed by the Terran Alliance Military MWR department in the greek architectural style of stone whitewashed buildings with blue-domed tiled roofs on the coast of a natural coastal lagoon, for the rest and recreational use of the local and visiting military and support personnel on Akazuna Beach on the western coast of the Tairiku continent and then greatly expanded through the efforts of the Helekia Dai Ichizoku (who had chosen this site as their initial headquarters after the Nejiro population expanded past the spaceport and Yousai), in cooperation with the indigenous people (the Ceallach Dai Ichizoku and the Kasai, Kahele, and Mahelona Koichizoku currently have seats on the Lanikai City Advisory Council and own shares of the core business of the city the Heavenly Ocean Hotel and Resort - the Helekia Dai Ichizoku still maintainsa large presence and a sizable Palace in Lanikai even with the Helekia Dai Ichizoku headquarters now on Vanuatu).
