The Battle of Brebo marked the end of Ethelan presence in Ilemis, and a stunning blow to Ethelan moral. The fight for the city is infamous around Maletsok, however, for its belligerents. The Belsumese Offensive on the city of Brebo was the first case of Marnab Gnomes fighting alongside the Belsumese against their Maletsokish brothers and sisters. Marnab bravery during the battle later enshrined their stoicism in the Belsumese Empire, and settled Belsumese fears of their race.
