Military action
The Abandonment of Semseach left a great vacuum of resistance to Ethelan rule in the North. Save for pockets of loyalists, the conquest was swift and clean. Troop movements appeared more like parades to mark a transfer of power than a brutal war for rule.
In the planting season of 981, the Ethelan army, reinforced my more aspirants from the mainland, made two great pushes; the Ilemseach Campaign and the Uremseach Campaign. The Navy attacked coastal cities and deployed troops from the sea while ground forces from the Army covered the inland territory in its wake. The Uremseach Campaign was greatly aided by defectors from the Dobrid nations and the pacifist nature of most Pelozerians. The Ilemseach Campaign was slower, as Gnomish troops from the Western Isles hampered the Navy's work, while the Dumadhur raided the Army from the mountains. Only the inland of Ilemseach remained under Confederate control.
