Gunzadum
Long forgotten, Gunzadum was the capital of the Dumadhur Dwarves of Maletsok Islands and, during the Ethelan-Maletsokish War, capital of the Maletsokish Confederacy. Once a bustling centre of trade and culture deep within the mountains, the city is now naught but memory as all roads to it were sealed after the Battle of Urazinar in 990 T.E.
According to ancient descriptions, the ancient city was a sprawling metropolis in three tiers built on and around a large island in an underground lake. Here, in the third and wealthiest tier, one could find the Palace of the Grand, home of the Grand Chief; and the Holy Forge, the Major Temple of Idwalen the Crowned.
It is unknown what became of this cultural hub. The consensus among academics and commoners alike is that the city fell into a self-imposed seige after sealing itself away, starving into oblivion and crumbling into disrepair. Others, however, speculate that the city yet thrives, self-sufficient with advanced underground farms. Still others (somehow) wholeheartedly believe that the entire city was ascended into the Luthaenel and its inhabitants turned into angelic servants of Idwalen.
