Sanctuary of Devotion
The Sanctuary of Devotion, the place of worship for Agard, is a building beautiful low-roofed building that feels intimate as soon as you step foot into it. It feels more like stepping into a well-loved house than a temple of worship, more comfortable. There’s still a big, wide main hall with the statue of Agard in the centre, but around the room are small cubicles or vestibles for intimate conversation.
Privacy is of the utmost importance for those who are visiting to get advice from the priests of love, so white silk masks are offered to everyone who attends and there are private sermons offered to those who can donate enough coin to the temple. These private rooms are lushly decorated, all soft furnishings, expensive artwork and expensive curtains. Complementary tea and fruit is given to all of those who are escorted to the private rooms.
