Stone Harbor

While Stone Harbor is technically not the oldest city in the Cluster - that classification is held by what was Enoch on the then New Terra (now Daant Arga). It is, however, the oldest still extant city that hasn't been absorbed into another city. While the city of Galeton on Tiforn still technically exists, it has since been absorbed by other cities and has become a suburb of the larger city of Materbourne.
Most historians believe that the continued existence of Stone Harbor as its own entity is to be credited to spending so long hosting all of the Schools of the Steel Heart within the city rather than in separate cities as it is now.

Schools of the Steel Heart

The premiere series of schools for anyone with the ambition to serve in law in the Cluster to attend, all five of the Schools began as one school in Stone Harbor. In the early days of occupation of their new home, there weren't many attendees of the School - which was then simply called the School of Law. The building itself is built in the middle of the city and is a large, multi-story structure. It is well known as having been started using a section of one of the original ships that came from Old Terra, the Sojourner.
Nowadays, only the Schola Murorum (or the School of Walls) is housed within the original building.

City Layout

With the Schola Murorum in the center of the city alongside the Stone Tower that is the seat of city government, the rest of the city is laid out in an ever increasing circle from the major center points. These circles end up breaking against the harbor that gives the city its name, with expansive docks and a vibrant fishing industry. Where the city spread out further onto land, there are fertile fields and farms at the edge of the city as well as thriving orchards. To the south, the city is almost entirely focused on a rich iron mine that has managed to continue to generate ore since Lirrbebhionn was terraformed between 26 AFT and 30 AFT.
