A Cold And Heartless Expanse
A bone-chilling wind beats upon the barren terrain. The temperature is far below 0. The sky is darkened, and one can hardly see 15 feet ahead of them as the constant snowstorm encircles all. These are The Wastes of Unkhatar, south of
Harpsbilge, and they are the least hospitable land in the world. While many other places in Nauvitalia are dangerous, none are as terribly hostile towards all life as The Wastes of Unkhatar. When travelling the wastes, it is impossible to stop moving lest you freeze in place. Settling here is impossible. There is no food, no shelter, and no easy way to tell north from south.
Eyes in The Storm
The few that manage to survive the wastes come back traumatized and often insane. They speak of increasingly strange and disconcerting happenings. At first, there seems to be nothing wrong with their travels beyond the harsh conditions. Then they catch the first glimpse of "it" - a pair of eyes staring at them from far away. The eyes aren't visible for long. Anyone who survives doesn't see the eyes more than twice before they turn back. Who or what these eyes belong to is still a mystery - a mystery that most people think is best left unanswered. "Let sleeping dogs lie."
