Creation Story

In the wake of the Sealshatter War, when the Unspoken Kindred were cast into the abyss of the Fallen Seal, the cosmos lay shattered and vulnerable. Amid this desolation, a new pantheon arose to bring order and civilization to the broken world. These gods, embodying the virtues of discipline, resilience, and dominion, came to be known as the Imperium Divinitatis—the Divine Empire.

The Founding of Order

Cerevin, the Warlord of the Heavens, emerged as the first among them. She was clad in bronze and crimson, her voice a clarion call of conquest and strength. With her spear, she forged the indomitable spirit of mortals, teaching them to endure and to rise as conquerors of their fate.   Beside her stood Veritas, the Arbiter Eternal, who embodied the pillars of truth and justice. His silver scales weighed the deeds of mortals, separating the virtuous from the corrupt. He established the foundations of law and judgment, crafting a society where order reigned supreme.

The Flames of Creation

From the volcanic heart of the world came Calor, the Flamewright. His forge blazed with divine fire, shaping both the tools of war and the instruments of enlightenment. He gifted mortals the secrets of metalworking and the eternal flame that would illuminate their paths.   Sanitas, the Vital Breath, emerged as the healer of both body and spirit. His touch brought vitality to the sick and hope to the despairing. From his hands flowed the arts of medicine and the knowledge to stave off death.

The Weavers of Destiny

Acula, the Veiled Oracle, was born beneath the waxing moon, her sight piercing the veils of time. She spoke in riddles and visions, unraveling the threads of destiny and guiding mortals through the labyrinth of fate. Her temples became sanctuaries of prophecy, where the brave sought wisdom and warnings.   Venatrix, the Huntress Eternal, roamed the wilds with bow in hand and beasts at her heels. She tamed the land for mortals, teaching them to sow fields and reap their bounty while honoring the sacred balance of nature. Her hunts provided both sustenance and reverence for the cycle of life.

Guardians of the Final Threshold

Sapien, the Chronomancer, strode through the aeons, his wisdom as vast as time itself. He granted mortals the gift of knowledge and foresight, urging them to seek understanding in all things. His presence ensured the past was remembered, and the future prepared for.   Debilis, the Shadowed Watcher, emerged as the guardian of twilight and weakness. His somber gaze fell upon the infirm and the fading, easing their passage into the night. He taught mortals that even in frailty, there is dignity, and in endings, there is purpose.   Finally, Tormen, the Tormentor of Souls, rose as the keeper of death’s shadow. Draped in black and wielding instruments of anguish, he ensured that death maintained its dominion. Yet even in his cruelty, there was balance, for he reminded mortals of life’s fragility and the price of hubris.

The Shaping of the Mortal Realm

Together, the Imperium Divinitatis shaped the mortal realm as artisans mold clay. Cerevin led the charge, carving empires into the land. Veritas established laws that bound mortals to justice. Calor’s fires fueled progress, while Sanitas’s touch healed and sustained life. Acula’s visions charted the course of destiny, Venatrix’s teachings cultivated the earth, and Sapien’s wisdom built the foundations of civilization. Debilis and Tormen ensured the cycle of life and death endured, unbroken and eternal.   Under the watchful eyes of the Divine Empire, the mortal world rose from the ashes of the Sealshatter War, its people bound by the tenets of order, strength, and reverence for the gods who shaped their destiny.
