Lashiet
Located Lashiet is a town situated in northwestern Lashiet County which is part of the duchy of Magante, both of which are both under the Kingdom of Lefrank. Lashiet has become famous around Daemos for its manure based fertilizer which has been proven time and again to help crops produce more each harvest when compared to other manures and fertilizer. It is said no one exactly knows what causes the manure produced by the livestock of Lashiet to cause such fertility in pants or that those who do keep the secret tightly hidden from even the farmers of Lashiet themselves. All that is for certain is that this miracle of nature helps keep Lashiet a wealthy town that is ever growing.
Industry & Trade
The primary export of Lashiet is the fertilizer of the same name that can be found in all places around Daemos from the cold northern of Kraznoya to the labyrinthian jungles of Chechawala for its ability to coax vast harvests from the most pitiful of soil. this export has skyrocketed the wealth and power of the merchants and nobility of Lashiet with little wealth trickling down to the vast amount of workers who keep this lucrative trade flowing.
This in turn has caused a large influx of mercenaries and guardsmen being employed to protect what is seen as one of Lefranks top exports, which has also attracted smithies from across the kingdom looking for steady work in repairing the equiptment of those seeking their fortune in Lashiet.
Guilds and Factions
The local mercenary guild known as The Brundrake Company are the main source of muscle within the town and are known for taking on contracts of all kinds provided the offer of payment meets their standards, this has led to issues of jealousy and contempt from the towns local garrison as the count and other nobility have a preference towards the Brundrakes over them. Other than these issues the Brundrakes are seen as a group to aspire to by the rest of the town, with many seeing them as heroes protecting the village from poverty.
History
The town of Lashiet was founded upon the ashes of the village of Lashet which was destroyed by the Loui of Lefrank during the war of Magentae and during its early days the town suffered sewage issues inherited from Lashet leading to many leaving the town in disgust and it was not until these problems were fixed under threat of armed revolt that the town began growing once more.
