The Kalypso Mine

The Kalypso Mine is an newly created mine in the south of eldoran.
The Mine was created after an unknown type of metal was found.
Violet in nature and giving off an strong glow the people called it orchid metal.
This metal had multiple strange and ever changing properties, that the people couldnt realy categorize.
It is still being researched, but the properties found until now where enough for the eldoran empire to create an huge mine.
Orchid seemed to be loved by magic, it started to glow the stronger the magic source in its reach was, which
is why Orchid is also used as magic detecting and to check how strong someones magic is.
Another propertie is, that it was able to fuse with magical objects together to create never before existing items.
The only problem with this effect was, that they never realy understood how exactly this works and how they can controll it
for example, an experiment where orchid was applied to an magical sword, it turned into magical snake and killed all the
researcher, also known as the Evil Snake Incident. Another time later this time with more safety it was used on another sword
this time, the sword turned its color to an bright yellow and gave its user strong magical powers, like flying,
strong lighting attacks and strong skin, that couldnt be pierced by non-magical weapons.
For this reason the most well accepted theory is that, it either needs to accept the object or find it worthy of some kind.
How excactly this works is unknown at the moment and is one of the most researched topics in eldoran at the moment.
For ethical reasons Orchid was never tried to be used on humans, but the possibilities could be even stronger...
