Helios, the All-Knowing
Helios is the god of Knowledge, Wisdom and Learning. He is a patron of scholars and teachers, and his followers seek his guidance in pursuit of understanding. He embodies the pursuit of truth and is known for his patient and inquisitive nature. His symbol is a scroll with a sunburst behind it.
Helios is a highly respected and revered god among the other deities due to his vast knowledge and wise counsel. He is often depicted as a tall, slender figure with a gentle but commanding presence, dressed in flowing robes of blue and gold. Helios' followers are among the most learned and intelligent people in the world, and they are often sought out for their knowledge and expertise.
Helios' temples are typically grand structures that house vast libraries and archives of ancient texts and knowledge. These temples are often built in the most prominent locations in cities and towns, showcasing the importance of knowledge and learning in society. His priests and priestesses are highly educated and skilled in various fields of study, and they are often consulted for their expertise.
Helios is also known for his prophetic abilities, and his followers often seek his guidance for predictions of future events. His ability to see into the future has been said to have saved countless lives and prevented disasters. Despite his vast knowledge and intelligence, Helios is humble and always willing to share his wisdom with others.
Helios is committed to upholding justice and righteousness. His followers are known for their strong moral compass and their willingness to stand up for what is right. Helios himself is known to be fair and just in his decisions, and his teachings often emphasise the importance of honesty, integrity, and virtue.

Holidays
Helios has a festival of sorts which spans the entire month of Heliomen - and much like everything to do with Helios, it is named concisely: the Information Exchange. The more extravagant refer to it as ‘the Knowledge Nexus’ as, in the famous words of the Gnomish professor Fitz Fizzsprocket, “it adds a bit more pizazz”.
Helios is worshipped in a similar way to Zara, although far less flamboyant. His ethos is less about magic and more about learning about the way the world itself works. His celebration, much like Zara’s, features a grand sharing of knowledge. The way this is done is where the main significant differences are, however. Instead of impressive displays of magical prowess or lectures, this transference of knowledge is usually through the exchange of written works, often research conducted over the last few years.
