Fynn Meadows
(antagonist) Role: Arded's father Appearance: Tall and well muscled from physical labour. He is tanned and has deep brown/black eyes, and brown hair cut very short. Personality: Fynn is a hardworking farmer, and from all appearances it's all he's ever known. Earnest and honest he avoids being indebted to others at all costs, and most in town find him hard to read emotionally. He has a strong dislike of infernals, repeating propaganda from celestial missionaries that occasionally come through Mitshaw. He has used the town blacksmith, although never willingly, recently he's tried to avoid the infernal who owns the shop, Love DeLeon, by sending his equipment out to a more expensive location for the work to be completed. He is stubborn and unwillng to admit his mistakes, choosing to fix them if he can instead of facing up to failure.Annette Meadows
(Matriarch of the Meadows Family) Role: Arded's mother Appearance: She has a pale complexion compared to the rest of her family, and bright green eyes with long blond hair that is usually kept up and out of her way. Her face is round and pleasant with a gentle smile. Her children get their freckles from her, as they are scattered haphazardly across her face and arms. Personality: Annette loves her large family and is a chipper housewife. She attends to the needs of her household swiftly and efficiently. She keeps a strict weekly schedule to ensure everything runs a smoothly as possible. Her ability to manage a house full of children of all ages and keep it all clean is envied by the other farm wives, as such she isn't well received in their company. While she is caring and sweet most of the time, Annette has a firey temper and a tendency to summon lightning when she angry. As such her children are all well behaved, and anyone who threatens them only ever does it once. She has become more volitile lately, seemingly without reason.Marina Meadows
Role: Arded's younger sister (closest in age to him) Appearance: Marina has long light brown hair and lightly tanned skin. She is more solidly built than her older brother and she often pushed him around and fought with him when they were younger. Her eyes are a soft hazel green, and she has a generous dusting of freckles on her face. Personality: She has never been good with children and refuses to babysit whenever she can get away with it. Marina is hardworking and loyal to her family, and despite her aversion to children she would kill for her younger brothers and sisters without a second thought. Since she was too boisterous for her mother to contain within the house once she got a little older, Marina has been working in the field with her father almost everyday. She feels a sense of ownership over the farm, and her close bond to her father has put her line to inherit the family business. She's had to work tenatiously to convince her father she was the correct choice over Arded. Energetic and bright she can sometimes steamroll quiet people in conversation and she doesn't have many female friends in the village, preferring to rough-house with the boys instead of needlework or other 'ladylike' persuits.The Meadows' Children

Sellica Reine
(Arded's old babysitter, affectionately called Aunt Selly by the Meadows' children) Role: Guide for Arded and the keeper of family secrets for the Meadows Appearance: Sellica has green eyes and black hair streaked with silver strands. Her face is starting to show age, with laughlines being the first wrinkles to appear. She is short, but stocky with a muscular build. Personality: Jolly and carefree Sellica was friends with Annette and Fynn before they settled down and had their family. She is bright and optimistic but lacks tact and diplomacy, often speaking plainly and bluntly when delicacy is more appropriate. She is prone to acting before thinking in most cases, but when it comes to serious matters she is shrewd and calculating.Fortuna Meselia
(A woman from Love's past) Role: A blast from Love's past, she acts as an antagonist to Arded and Love's budding relationship Appearance: Fortuna is an infernal from The Thumb and has blue skin with tall horns that spiral upward like an ibex. She has the tips of the horns capped with silver ornamentation, and holes drilled down the length of them for a series of piercings where silver chains hang and adorn them. Fortuna styles her white hair in an elaborate bun tied behind her right ear. Her face is strikingly beautiful and she is tall and slender with the bearing of a confident person. Personality: Fortuna is forward, brash, and confident. She makes her opinions known and seems to be endlessly confident, it takes time to strip back the facade of bravado to find out that she is sweet and considerate towards those she cares for. Most will mistake this for being two faced but Fortuna uses this to determine who she can trust and be her true self around.

Hi there creators! It's a good idea to flesh out some supporting characters for your story, and don't forget about them later when you're hunting for words! Use them to tell a side story, or interact with your main characters in a surprising way! Having even a small pool of secondary characters can help add depth and while they don't need to be fully realized, a few key notes about their personality can really sell them in the world!
