Elf
The heirs of the Eladrin, Elves are the longest-living of the common and entrenched races of Namtara. They are also among the most varied, owed to their ironically older origins when compared to the other races of Namtara. Curiously, despite their naturally long lives and shared culture, Elves are remarkably adaptable to their environment and has spawned multiple subspecies including High Elves or Drow.

History
Elves can trace their ancestry to the Eladrin, a subspecies of the Fey. The Eladrin were created by the other Fey partly as a mockery of short-lived mortals and partly to pick up the slack of most menial labor. The Eladrin were able to move past their subservience and establish their own clan - the Summer Clan - and became a legitimate if somewhat overlooked Fey.
Elves were descended from Eladrin who came to the material realm when the Fey settled in the continent of Glimmervale. From this starting point, they would travel beyond to the different corners of Namtara. By the time the Fey retreated back to the Feywild, Elves had already firmly established their position in the material realm.
